The American insurance company Aflac has announced the launch of its latest TV commercial in Spanish, Rueda de Prensa (Press Conference), which begins with a doctor answering questions about an accident that put the Aflac duck in the hospital.With the Latino purchasing power in the U.S. expected to top $1.6 trillion by 2016, we want to raise the relevance of the Aflac brand with individuals whose preferred language is Spanish. This campaign will grab the attention of viewers, help educate them about our company in a culturally sensitive way, and prove how Aflac is a vital component of anyones financial security, said Michael Zuna, executive VP and chief marketing and sales officer for Aflac.The campaign seeks to expand awareness and understanding of the brand in the Hispanic market, which is less than in the general market. The advertising includes a presence on television, radio and digital media.The Rueda de Prensa commercial will air on local Spanish-language stations in Miami, New York, Los Angeles, Houston, San Francisco and Orlando.
