MEC’s Innovation and Consumption team presents its document A to Z where it summarizes the most outstanding facts in digital, content and technology, that intertwine with the world of advertising and marketing; ranging from voice assistants, interactive videos, virtual reality, podcasts, drones, all the way to creative content, this alphabet allows a general scope of what stood out in 2016.Following are a few letters: A – is for Amazon and its tremendous leadership, thanks to the AI assitant Alexa and Amazon Go. B – Is for bots. All the bots: shopping bots, celebrities, customer service bots and special stores for bots. C – is for content and brands like Marriot that have jumped on the creative content bandwagon. D – is for drones, which have finally started taking flight thanks to companies like Domino’s and Disney. E – is for the massive amount of hype that surrounded the Election, but we’re not here to talk politics! F – is for Fake News, especially on Facebook as it turns to crowdsourcing to fact-check and fight the fraud, even stating they fine any false articles.
