Actualmente McDonald's cuenta con una app que permite al usuario localizar el restaurante más cercano
Fast-foods chain McDonalds has been field testing a smartphone app that allows customers to place their orders and pay for them at a distance, then pick up their meal inside the store or at the drive-by window. The service is currently available in the U.S. cities of Salt Lake City and Austin.According to McDonalds spokeswoman Lisa McComb, the new app seeks to give customers a cooler, more convenient fast-foods moment. Were always looking at new technologies to make the McDonalds experience better for our customers, she said. We are testing some of these technologies in a few markets, so its premature to speculate on the decisions we may make after the tests, but were excited to bring a cutting-edge experience in the future to our customers McComb said.McDonalds already has an app that locates the closest restaurant to wherever the hungry customer is located.Fast-foods chains like Burger King are already moving with the mobile generation, but up to now none has managed to expand that kind of technology globally.
