Starting this week, McDonalds in New York Tri-state will pay a tribute to the Cuban singer Gloria Estefan, as part of the program Celebrando Nuestras Leyendas (Celebrating Our Legends) for the commemoration of the month of Hispanic Heritage. In-store materials which can be found in McDonald´s restaurants in the area of New York/New Jersey/Connecticut- highlight the artist´s legendary achievements. Also, a QR code will guide the guests to an exclusive video-tribute, honoring Gloria. “As a Hispanic of Cuban origin and owner/operator of McDonald´s, I am proud to pay a tribute to Gloria Estefan, one of the most important celebrities in Latin music. Gloria is a clear example of the influence we Hispanics have had in the culture of this country said Ana Madán, restaurant owner and President of the North East Division of McDonald’s Hispanic Owner Association. This is the fourth year of the McDonald´s program Celebrando Nuestras Leyendas that honors Latin entertainment and sport legends that have made great contributions to culture in the US. “McDonalds Celebrando Nuestras Leyendas has given us great satisfaction. Through this program, McDonald´s restaurant owners have recognized our Hispanic consumers and employees while honoring iconic figures and contributing to the charity of our choice” said Madán.
