Roth: Nuestro enfoque en diversidad no es solo importante, sino que es urgente
IPG recognized six agencies that proved to be leaders in the goal of being the most diverse and inclusive companies in the ninth edition of the Inclusion Awards. The firm McCann received three awards: Outstanding Support for Diverse Businesses given to McCann Worldgroup; Inclusion Campaign of the Year to WMcCann, and Most Effective Targeted Campaign to McCann New York. Other awarded companies include Area 23, an FCB Health Company that obtained the award Community Impact; R/GA Inclusive Talent Initiatives; and Campbell Ewald for Best Internal Communications Program. Blake Winfree and Erin Swenson Gorrall from MullenLowe U.S., received the Inclusive Leadership Award; and Carmichael Lynch, the Most Inclusive Climate of the Year. The program was on Facebook Live on August 3rd, 2017. “This year’s program is different from what we’ve done in years past because, frankly, things need to change. While we’ve made some great progress, a lot of work remains to be done. We’re launching a new framework for taking our efforts to the next level. Today’s event highlights why our focus on diversity isn’t just important, it’s urgent from a business perspective. It is also critical that we expand our definition of inclusion to ensure that we incorporate the many dimensions of diversity from gender to race to culture to caregiver or veteran status and beyond” said Michael Roth, President and CEO at IPG. During the event, IPG has been working on it’s new global diversity and inclusion theme Inspired Inclusivity, with a new logo that resulted from an employee global design competition.
