Mauricio Jemal, partner and executive producer of Cibolo Films, gave PRODU a balance for 2012 and his projections for 2013.The year 2012 went very well, even though I know the situation wasnt so easy for many producers or for people in general, but we did very well, Jemal said. The producer said they saw production budgets like they havent seen in years: We landed some very big projects and we felt we were in a really good position.Jemal admitted hes an optimist and said the Hispanic market has many chances to get more involved in the general market. Now is a perfect time for American clients to come to us and enjoy the kind of economies they wont find in the general market.Last year Cibolo produced a series of ads for the next Coors Light campaign, filmed in Mexico with the MX soccer league.One of the spots that debuted in 2013 for that campaign, originally shot for the Hispanic market only, was chosen for the general market without even going through a test phase, the executive said.At the moment 2013 is looking good, were going to continue fighting and positioning ourselves as the best producer we can be and to be active in both markets, Jemal said.
