Matt Seiler, global CEO of IPG Mediabrands, the innovative media network of Interpublic Group, was elected president of the Media Jury for the 2014 Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity.It has become increasingly challenging to find time amidst all the exciting things going on during the festival to focus on the real reason we are there as Jury President I cant wait to get in deep with some of the worlds best work Seiler said.In recent months the executive has won industry recognition on several occasions for his visionary plans to reinvent the world of media agencies. He is a big supporter of developing stronger ties between media owners and agencies as a way of generating better content. Seiler is also morphing the client-agency relationship into a new pay-for-performance model that links remuneration directly to client growth. The purpose for doing this is to make IPG Mediabrands a true extension of its clients marketing departments.Seiler has also been a pioneer in the field of automation and has committed IPG Mediabrands to automate at least 50 percent of its media investment in the United States by the year 2016, followed in the short term by other international markets.
