McFall: Tenemos planes de expansión dentro del mercado hispano de EE UU
Epidemic Sound is a 30 thousand pieces of all types of productions and events music library, multiple offices worldwide, and an ecosystem of more than one thousand users. With offices in Miami and Madrid they have clients like Univision Hola!/Hello!, Playground Magazine, Atresmedia/Flooxer, Badabun, Telva, Grupo Prisa, and other companies that generate a huge amount of bilingual content. Matilda McFall, the company’s Development Director for Miami, shared that they currently have expansion plans in the U.S. Hispanic market. According to McFall, the music industry main challenge is “that the royalty system is failing composers. Collecting societies have not been able to remain up-to-date with the explosion of content, mainly in the digital world, therefore composers are not receiving the royalties they should. We are independent from these collecting societies. That means that with our platform we ensure composers a fair pay for their work and at the same time we simplify the licensing process for clients” she added. The list of clients of Epidemic Sound includes brands such as Discovery Channel, The Guardian, Ikea, McDonald’s, Vevo, YouTube, Bustle, Samsung, DDB, Publicis Group, TBWA, Vox, Unicef, Miami Ad School and New York Film Academy.
