BackStories Castingland
Castingland presents Backstories, a series of talks by advertising professionals that blossomed during the global lockdown. According to Castingland Director Matias Duchoony, this new format ventures into the lives of professionals responsible for the top ad campaigns across Latin America and the U.S. Hispanic market. “I think we never realized the importance of content as much as we have during this crisis. We’ve all been glued to social networks and anything else within our reach that allows us to be entertained and spend time. Backstories takes us closer to industry professionals in a relaxed way, almost like cozy chats among friends,” Duchoony said. The project includes the contribution of Cande Moran in the area of digital art and edition.“Over the past few months we had so many virtual meetings with so many of our clients – directors, photographers, producers, etc. – that were so interesting that naturally the idea of doing something related to content was born.”The professionals who took part in Backstories include:Mauricio Candela (photographer) USOctavio Amaro (director) ChileRenzo Talavera (production director from Circus) PeruGabriel Carratu (executive producer Vagabond) SpainFabian Morassut (photographer) ArgentinaPaola Pastrana (general producer of Cine70) PeruFor content distribution, Castingland partnered with PRODU. “Our relationship with PRODU has gone on for years, and from the start of the project we saw it as the best option for sharing distribution, not only due to the presence it has in Latin America and the U.S., but also because of its target audience.”Backstories will be available to viewers starting July 2020, through PRODU.com.
