Rietti: El proyecto de Beldent fue un desafío interesante
Argentina’s first commercial made entirely in virtual reality (VR) combining multiple platforms has been made for Beident Infinit chewing gum, with coproduction by Landia and Sale to align TV and digital content, and directed by Landia’s Martin Rietti.“It was a project we were very curious about, both regarding its look and in terms of production design, since VR as a storytelling instrument is not yet configured” said Rietti. “The story is narrated with a subjective, point-of-view camera, so there was an additional layer of complexity: we had to tell interconnected stories seen from different angles. It was an interesting challenge in which we had to align everything.”The Director feels that the new environment, in which technology creates a constant dialogue between the Internet and its users, more filming can be done with more tech resources, but at the same time with more modest budgets. That will mean “many projects happening at the same time, but smaller, with less money and more thought” he added.Rietti said the shoot was intense. They had to work in sync and condense all the actions related to the infinite possibilities of nights when anything can happen, in order to make the content as dynamic as the storyline and its Millennial target.“I am currently working on the preproduction of a new commercial together with Santo, which we’re going to shoot in Uruguay. Also, the print edition of the American B book of photography, in which I participated, is about to be released by the Paripe Books publishing house.
