According to the 2015 Social Media Marketing Industry Report, 92% of brands consider social networks important for their businesses and 84% said they integrated their social media and traditional marketing activities. 64% said they use their networks more than six hours a week, while 41% stated they use them approximately 11 hours a week.Among the networks used, Facebook continues to be the most popular social media platform for businesses, with a dominance of 93%. And it seems to remain the first, thanks to improvements they are implementing on the video advertising platforms. Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google+, YouTube and Pinterest are the other favorite media of brands.The most usual types of content are: 71% images, 70% blog articles, 57% video and 10% podcasts. By the end of 2015 and beginning of 2016, implementation of video and online podcasts in advertising campaigns is expected to increase. 90% of surveyed brands reported an increase in the exposure of their business and 77% considers that thanks to their efforts on social media, traffic on their websites grew. 69% also stated that brand loyalty has increased. Among the benfits they report is the increase of sales, growth of business portfolio and new partners.
