Marie Leguizamo NGL Collective
The Executive Producer of NGL Collective, Marie Leguizamo, attended the Annual CMC Conference and said that being enriched by other colleagues’ experiences in the multicultural market was a great experience. “We need to know what viewers and consumers want and what advertisers are looking for, which is not just to sell products but to really engage their audiences, so I think the cultural link is very important,” she said.Though today everyone uses the term “content,” Leguizamo said it’s much more than advertising/marketing content, because at the end of the day it’s all about products that people are going to use in their homes. “We have a brand to sell, but the goal is to make viewers understand what that brand has to offer and at the same time be interested in its story.”Leguizamo said that digital budgets have been cut. “I think production has become more democratic, but there is so much content that expectations are increasingly greater. What makes us unique is that we raise digital content to the next level and offer something far beyond your everyday experience. Budgets are smaller and we’ve had to learn to answer these high expectations with fewer resources. Which is all to NGL’s advantage, since we’re a company born in the digital age with all the expertise needed to talk to Hispanic Millennials.”
