Esta es la primera vez que Unicef se asocia exclusivamente con un medio hispano en EE UU para un anuncio de servicio público
UNICEF recently announced the launch of a new campaign that urges citizens and government to speak out more strongly to end violence against children. In every country, in every culture, there is violence against children said the executive director of UNICEF, Anthony Lake. With the words We must make the invisible visible, the initiative urges people to keep their eyes open and recognize violence against children when it happens, and to join the worldwide movements to take collective action and eliminate that evil once and for all.The campaign was produced with a video in English presented by UNICEF goodwill ambassador, Liam Neeson, while for the Spanish audience it is presented by Univision News anchors Jorge Ramos and Maria Elena Salinas. Its an honor for me to be part of this campaign that raises awareness about a problem that unfortunately is very real and that few dare to acknowledge. Our children are our treasure and deserve to be treated with dignity Salinas told PRODU.This is the first time that UNICEF has made an exclusive association with a Hispanic media outlet in the United States for a public service message. We are honored to be the first and only Spanish-language media outlet to partner with UNICEF on a project of this nature, said Isaac Lee, president of news at Univision. This campaign aims to create awareness and encourage prevention of violence against children, an issue that is of great importance both to Univision and to the Hispanic community.
