For Marcelo Padoca, Associate Creative Director at The Community, great ideas are universal and must have the power to make people feel something. “In the past, the most appealing ideas came from Europe and the U.S. Today, these ideas come from Latin America, from places like Brazil, Argentina, Peru, Mexico or Chile. The U.S. Hispanic market has a huge potential to create amazing ideas. Clients only need to believe it” he tells PRODU.He admits feeling proud of the work that the industry has been making. “I think that instead of pigeonholing people as Hispanics, women, homosexual, etc. we must celebrate excellent work, regardless of where it comes from.”Padoca, who was part of the jury of the 2016 U.S.H. Idea Awards, sought in the pieces powerful insight together with great execution. “The best thing about being a juror is getting to know all the different criteria and points of view.”
