Kramer: Creemos que las paredes están hechas para colgar arte, no para dividirnos
Maddy Kramer, Senior Art Director at the Barkley Agency, came up with a personal project she developed with the Creative Copywriter, Marcela Ángeles and the Editor and Animator, Matías Canelson, called: The Most Beautiful Wall.“We think walls are made to hang art, not to separate us. That is why we are curating an art collection made by immigrant artists residing in U.S.” she explained. “We want to fill 1,926 miles with art.”Kramer highlighted that they are looking for artists to donate their art pieces to cover the wall. The invitation is also open for museums that want to collaborate in the curation of art made by immigrants.“The idea started with all the things that are happening in the U.S. 45 days of madness and uncertainty for millions of immigrants who have made a life here. I think Mexicans are a big part of the American culture and that each immigrant that comes to contributes to the U.S. should never feel in any way that he/she is not part of this country” she stated. “Donald Trump in a press conference said he wanted to build the most beautiful wall. His words inspired me to create this project because art exceeds any kind of wall. If we hang it, we’ll notice that there are more artists with a cause than people wanting to divide us with a wall.”
