Luis Miguel Messianu, President and CCO at ALMA said to PRODU that 2015 was a historic year in terms of the growth achieved by the agency in a long time. He added that however the balance in billing, accounts, awards and team has been very positive, they are not slowing down the pace and quality of work. “We strive ourselves to maintain humility, curiosity and the will to work in order to be better every day in benefit of our clients.” Digital and social media are growing at a staggering pace, Messianu explained, but this does not diminish the importance of more traditional screens, and media such as radio or print, which also have a place within the consumers experience. Regarding what will be trend in 2016, he said that the industry will have to rethink messages to reach consumers. “Everything is content now and we have to think differently. Now the angle has lesser to do with language, and the key is definitively in culture and the interaction moment with the brand in the context of life. We have to think in a more agnostic way and integrate ourselves in an organic and natural manner in the consumers life.” To address the rise of ad blockers, he believes that the best antidote is creativity and great ideas. “The challenge is to understand consumers in their needs, quests and concerns. Great ideas are always welcome.”
