After announcing that the U.S. Hispanic Idea Awards will take place on October 12th, Luis Miguel Messianu Chairman of the U.S. Círculo Creativo and ALMA, and Gustavo Lauría President of Circulo and Co-Founder of We Believers, talked to PRODU about the meaning of changing the date of the awards. “We want Círculo to grow in a way of being more ambitious when generating things for creatives” they said. “We realized that many of the best entries wining in Cannes Lions didnt get on time to our festival. If our mission is to raise, celebrate and merchandise the best Hispanic piece, we need to make sure we are represented. It’s going to be a day to celebrate Latinity and creativity, and that is why we thought it would be very symbolic to do it on October 12th, Hispanic Heritage day” Messianu said. For Lauría its the first step to do something focusing totally on creatives and that is what Creative Talks conference – which goes hand-in-hand with the award – is about. “The work that we do with AHAA has always been of great impact, but we were feeling the need for the event to have Circulos own identity, looking for agencies to perform their best work and have the necessary inspiration.” For more information about submissions go to U.S. Hispanic Idea Awards.
