Shannon dirigió recientemente el comercial Together para Alma Mora
A strong and consistent idea is what Lucas Shannon, Director at LANDIA, expects to find when he receives a creative script. “To feel a certain challenge, that the brand has something to say. The world is full of unending messages. That is why scripts and ideas have to be relevant, connect with the viewer, surprise him” he explained to PRODU.Shannon, who directed the commercial Together for Alma Mora -made by the agency The Community- comments that one of the challenges he faced was to depict love at first sight. “Hypothetical moments of happiness, pain and the relation that unfolds as years go by. How the two gradually get to know each other, the challenges and joys that can co-exist. Alma Mora is like a trigger of that first encounter, in an organic and subtle way, as part of life itself.”He points out that they didn’t want to be moralizing nor make a portrait of how the two grow old. “It was a more contemporary projection, in which the most important thing was to share human moments that were intense, full of emotion. The challenges and situations a couple has to face.”I wanted the film to be realistic, he says, and a bit magical at times, seeking spontaneity in the acting. “We worked a lot on the casting to find two great actors. We made long shots, with improvisation, background music in the set. That helped create a special ambience, that allowed for more sensitivity in the acting, and also in the camera and photography. The shooting was mainly a portrayal of moments of life.”
