This year the Cannes Lions Festival will include in its program Lions Innovation, a training in marketing offer, titled Start-up Academy, developed in alliance with the global agency R/GA. The program will help new companies sharpen their brand identities, develop business plans to start marketing their products or services more effectively, according to Rob Dembitz, director at Lions Innovation. The participants will receive intensive tutoring and will have an exclusive introduction to influencers in the industry, high-level salespeople and the board of directors of the Cannes Lions Festival.”New companies are an integral part of the industry and need guidelines on how to position themselves to become one of the most important brands in the world. As a global place of encounter for marketing and communications people, we are more than prepared to provide access to this experience,” says Dembitz. In the last two years R/GA has successfully trained new companies through its own program, R/GA Accelerator. “Our experience with the community has proven that new companies need more help with the strategy, positioning and exposure of their leaders,” said Stephan Plumlee, operations director at R/GA. “When gathering Lions Innovations companies we are giving creatives and salespeople access. And those are the people who have the ability to change their businesses. For three days, participants will experiment to be advised the great ones in the advertising agency.
