Linda Kaplan Thaler, chairman de Publicis NY, dictará una charla en la Conferencia de Agencias de Ad Age
Linda Kaplan Thaler, chairman, Publicis NY, was inducted this year in the Advertising Hall of Fame. She is founder of the Kaplan Thaler group, author of the book Grit to Great, and the creater of Yes, Yes, Yes for Herbal Essences. She was chosen as one of the 100 most influential women in advertising. July 30th she will deliver a workshop in the Ad Age Small Agency Conference. She spoke about the keys to a successful career.”There is this notion that everybody has to be a Mark Zuckerberg and make it before 25. Life is not a race, it’s a marathon. The goal can take five, fifteen or thirty years”, said Kaplan. “I also beg those people to stop dreaming about what they want to do. When you see dreamers, you realize they rarely make the effort to wake up, stop dreaming and get to work”.For the creative the most important thing in a campaign is that it is disruptive. “I tell clients that the worse risk they can take is no risk at all. It takes understanding and emathy with the client, because you have to convince him it’s worth it”.During the conference she will talk about her story. How a girl from the Bronx started in advertising at 28 and has had her own agency for 17 years. For her, the secret is in endurance and effort.
