The 2017 Clio Sports Awards announced on Thursday, May 11th the list of winners. In the Hispanic market, LatinWorks was the only agency that received two gold and one silver for their campaign Ponle Acento for the MLB in the U.S. In Latin America, Brazil had several victories. R/GA Buenos Aires stood out for its pieces for Nike and in VR with a gold, two silvers and three bronzes, while Y&R Lima was awarded a silver Clio for its campaign for UVK Movie Theaters.The campaign Ponle Acento was recognized in the categories Innovation, with a gold; Integrated Campaign, with gold and in Public Relations with silver. This has been MLB’s greatest effort to approach the Hispanic market, resuming the accents in players surnames on their t-shirts.R/GA Buenos Aires received awards for its campaign PowerChair Football: VR Power Trainer, that received a gold in the category VR and Augmented Reality, and a silver in Social Good. With their pieces for Nike, Mercurial Speedbox and NikeID VR Studio, they won silver in the category Premium Items, bronze in Packaging, bronze in Design and bronze in VR and Augmented Reality. Y&R Lima’s victory was silver in the category Film for its campaign Actors for UVK Movie Theaters.
