Este fue el contenedor que trasladó las 500 bicicletas a Ghana
Put Your Ideas to Work is LAPIZ’s slogan. Recently they launched an agency-wide initiative that allows their employees to bring forward the ideas that stir-up their gut and they are helping bring them to life. “We want our people to develop a pro-active mindset and use their skills (or learn new ones) to make their personal passion projects come to life” says on their website. The first project that has come to life with this initiative is called The Good Container , and it has surpassed its goals. Flavio Pina, Associate Creative Director at the agency, took his passion for bicycles to create an initiative that helped transport 500 donated bikes to communities in need in Ghana. “In a developing country a bicycle can truly change the life of an individual, their family and their community. Bicycling is, of course, a form of transportation. But bicycles are also used for towing cargo, and even as a source of electricity through pedal-powered machines. In areas plagued by poverty, high levels of unemployment and a lack of reliable, accessible transportation, a bicycle helps provide access to jobs, education, medical attention, and other resources” is highlighted on the website of the initiative. The project has an Instagram account -@goodcontainer- where the people who donated the bikes can follow the trip of the container, and the way this shopping changed the life of hundreds of Ghanaians.
