Lalo Durán, Co-Founder and Managing Partner at WALO, feels that advertising has always been in constant evolution and lately, at a quicker pace. “More than a reinvention of the business, we see it as an adaptation to what is currently happening with consumers. We must understand them, get in their shoes and reflect their reality, not a fantasy they don’t identify with” he explained. The main project they are handling right now is the growth of WALO itself. “Very interesting things are coming that will allow us to identify unique solutions for our clients and prospects” he narrated. “Even under the country’s new administration, many people know that the U.S. will continue its multicultural growth. It is inevitable. Evolution of mankind does not care about politics or complexes, and in the near future, most people in this country will be multicultural.” Durán’s main advice for brands is for them to be real and honest with consumers and to adopt a culture of social responsibility. “As experts in the market, both brands and agencies have a huge responsibility with our audiences, because many of them blindly place their trust in us” he said. In the future, they hope to continue pushing brands to add value to the world, either through their messages or even improving their products or services. “We like to think that WALO can create an important impact for common wellbeing” he concluded.
