Burns: VR es una tendencia de moda
Katie Burns, Midwest Sales Director at Adsmovil based in Chicago, participated for the first time in the annual AHAA conference, and in the context of the event, she explained that the big trends at the moment are mobile and virtual reality. “Knowing that consumers are interconnected with these devices in which the purchase pattern is increasingly bigger, people are using their mobile devices versus their desktops. I think mobile is going to be big for us.”Although VR is a trendy fashion, Burns can’t yet elucidate how it will be applied in the industry. “I think it is very good for film companies and big studios, but how it is going to be applied to advertising is unknown. It is very trendy. For us, I think it is going to be mobile” he said. The executive also highlighted the growth of the Hispanic market. “Families in the general market are having 1 or 2 children, whereas Hispanic families in the U.S., more than 6. So it is possible to see the big gap in growth for the Hispanic market and I think it is a big eye opener for many advertisers in the U.S.” she highlighted. She said her company’s message is that in the light of the growth of the Hispanic market and the use of mobile, they can enter that ecosystem as a partner to help them reach Hispanics in the U.S.
