Jorge Colon, president and founder of Letca Films, presented PRODU with his latest production for PepsiCos Ruffles that he directed. Thanks to the hit it made on television, a 2-minute version is being launched in movie theaters. The spot is called Agent XO and was shot in Los Angeles starring the brands image, Angelique Boyer. The work Letca partnered with Mexico City-based Terciopelo Films is a true megaproduction designed to reach a younger audience. Were super-proud of this production because it was a really big challenge. Since weve been working with the people at PepsiCo weve had great relations with them and weve been challenging ourselves more every time. This idea in particular came from the agency, but it kept growing and was a kind of dream both for the client and for ourselves Colon said. Were glad to have achieved a work of this dimension its almost the trailer to an action movie, in which theres everything one could dream of having to film an action sequence. We had the coordinator of Transformers, Michael Ozier, as director of photography, and the good luck to have a very elaborate postproduction, since about 50 percent of the commercial is made with special effects he said.Among other things, Colon noted the work of Leo Lovera of Miami-based Moving Forward Studios. I consider Leo a Genius, because hes not only a great artiest, a great technician and a great human being, hes always for making a good project even better Colon said.
