John Winsor, fundador y chairman de Victors & Spoils
After spending a year in Mexico, John Winsor, Victors & Spoils founder, returned to head up his agency in Boulder, Colorado. Immediately after his arrival, he resigned from his chief innovation officer position at parent company Havas. Winsor would like to focus more exclusively on V&S and the open organizational model he pioneered in the agency. He has also changed his title from CEO to chairman and founder. “Im more passionate than ever about the open revolution that we started and I want to focus on accelerating this change. To do that, Im taking the title of chairman of V&S. I love being on the tip of the spear in such a dynamic time in the industry and feel fortunate to be surrounded by so many fellow explorers. Viva la revolución!” he said in a memo to his staff. The model Winsor implemented in 2012 promotes everybody working together, erasing hierarchies, where compensation relies more on the commercial impact of the job than on the time invested to perform it. Nowadays many companies are joining the open organizational wave.
