At an event held this month in New York, T-Mobile announced JUMP!, a new program that allows users to update their phones whenever they want, up to twice a year and beginning six months after signing up. In fact, JUMP! stands for Just Update My Phone!”We are going to redefine a stupid, broken and arrogant industry. Two years is too long to be locked into a phone. That’s 730 days of watching new phones come out that you cannot have” said John Legere, president and CEO of T-Mobile US.He added that with JUMP!, customers neednt worry about having to keep a telephone they dont want, because this is one of those things that annoys customers so much. In addition, T-Mobile has announced a big expansion of its 4G LTE network that will reach more than 157 million people in 116 metropolitan areas across the United States, plus a family program that will allow customers to obtain four lines with unlimited voice, text, Internet and up to 500 MB of high-speed data, for $100 a month, with no credit check or annual contract.Market analysis shows that T-Mobile has tripled its net flow of clients with post-pay in comparison with AT&T, and has won more new customers during the month of May than all other wireless service providers in New York, Los Angeles, Houston, the San Francisco Bay Area, Miami, San Diego and Washington D.C.
