Zubi Advertising has promoted Ivan Calle to VP executive creative director. He was previously in charge of the Creative Department and Studio, which includes Translation/Proofreading, Digital and Social with their respective directors. In his new position, Traffic and Production is added. “I will also be more involved in decisions regarding culture, administration and planning for the present and future of the agency” the executive said. Calle said he will now seek to consolidate an advertising culture that will make everything in the agency more efficient, faster and less bureaucratic. “This will make us more agile and above all, will have us working as a single team that comes up with great ideas because everyone is moving in the same direction – that must be the agency´s engine.” He announced that Zubi´s new structure, “along with other changes that are coming,” will give the feeling that responsibility for the creative product belongs to everyone who works for the agency. “I have always believed that talent is the most important thing, what we have and what’s coming,” he said. “We need ideas to help clients grow, that’s the challenge,” Calle added. “The landscape is more competitive, contact points with clients are more diversified than before, so that now we execute ideas through different media and technologies. Zubi has the combination of a unique legacy, a new generation of talent we must make the most of, and the resources WPP offers us. It seems to me that nowadays, clients value creativity more, and that is what we’re betting on. Creativity is the priority.”
