Moving Warmth for Better conectó a dos comunidades para intercambiar soluciones
Western Union developed, together with the agency FCB Mayo, an effective idea to solve important problems in communities that are thousands of kilometers away, through an exchange. The campaign is titled Moving Warmth for Better and connected two communities with similar life conditions to exchange solutions.Waskaganish is a community in Canada that has very low temperatures. Its inhabitants make coats and carpets with animal skins, which are very effective for isolating cold. The problem in this community is the lack of nutritious foods during the winter. 9,000 km away is Lampa, a Peruvian village where hundreds of children die each year due to the cold, but they have nutritious foods such as quinoa at all seasons.Western Union took the Canadian carpets to Lampa and taught the community how to protect their homes from the cold. Then they took quinoa to Waskaganish and taught them how to cook and cultivate it. This exchange campaign will be competing in the 2015 Cannes Lions campaign. The agency responsible for the campaign was FCB Mayo and the media agency was Mediaconnection BPN, part of IPG Mediabrands. The producing company was Sangre and George Peláez directed the video. Gloria Herrera, general manager of Mediaconnection BPN worked together with Jessica Arismendiz, Accounts Director. Humberto Polar, CCO de FCB Mayo guided the creative team together with Flavio Pantigoso, Executive Creative Director and the Creative Directors creativos Daniel Sacroisky, Victor Vélez and Julio Oshiro.
