The 3rd Annual Hispanicize Tecla Awards announced the Digital Marketing industry categories and the extension for the nominations phase to run thru February 17th. The creator and social media influencer nomination submissions period has also been extended for the same date. The three updated categories are: Best Agency doing Hispanic or Multicultural Social Media, which honors a PR or advertising agency that is consistently doing phenomenal, innovative work in the social media space; Best Overall Multicultural Community Engagement on Social Media, which recognizes a brand or organization that uses this media to effectively engage and collaborate with the Hispanic/multicultural community and who has excellent overall presence on those networks, and Best Multicultural or Hispanic Social Media Campaign Executed that honors best, most innovative and effective use of social community building and engagement in a specific campaign. “The digital marketing awards categories aim to recognize the creative agencies and brands dedicated to connecting branded messages and products with consumers via social media influencers and campaigns” said Cristy Clavijo-Kish, CDO at Hispanicize Media Group and Tecla Awards Chair. “These are the people and brands that fund our industry and help drive the dollars to support rapid growth for influencers as well as the Latino and multicultural community nationwide” Clavijo-Kish added. Among the past winners of the Hispanicize Tecla Awards for digital marketing were: Telemundo, Alma, Cosmopolitan, Latin Grammy Awards, McDonald’s Latino, Coca-Cola and Fleishman-Hillard. The 8th Annual Hispanicize 2017 will host the Tecla Awards on Thursday, April 6th at 8PM at Miami’s Olympia Theatre.
