El 46% de los hispanos trabaja para empresas con menos de 50 personas
In previous surveys, Tr3s network studied the ideal working hours for millennials, and many particularly those between ages 19-29 are not working as many as they would like to. Others are in part-time jobs theyre not really happy with. So the question is: What could satisfy them if they could do what they would like to do?As part of a new, soon-to-be-published poll on Hispanic adults of the new millennium, Tr3s asked what their ideal kind of work would be. Work that offers independence and flexibility, they said. Here are some of the conclusions about the kinds of employment Hispanics between ages 19-34 would like to have.Entrepreneurship is very attractive: while approximately one out of every 10 Hispanics has his own business, more than half said this was they right way to go. Among millennials, Hispanics are more interested in having their own business than non-Hispanics (50 percent vs. 43 percent). Hispanics between ages 30-34, plus the segment born abroad, are more likely to view self-employment as an option. On the other hand, the majority would like to work from home. A fourth of adult Hispanics have home as their workplace, and 62 percent see that as ideal.Though 46 percent of Hispanics currently work for companies with fewer than 50 employees, a greater percentage, 60 percent, see small businesses as ideal.
