Today that cultural game is over and it turns out to be their differences that make them particularly charming and welcome.This population known as the Millennial Generation represents a large proportion of U.S. young people who not only integrate into American society and culture but are increasingly defining it but which doesnt make them any less Latino.The Tr3s network recently developed a report called The Latinization of America A Next Normal Exploration. The analysis highlights the latest research into the contribution of Hispanic Millennials to demographic change in the United States, what life is like for the rapidly growing second-generation population, and what acculturation really means now.The research provides a number of insights about what acculturation means to todays Hispanic Millennial adults, such as:Acculturation doesnt mean losing their Latinicity young Hispanics are proud of their heritage and cultural values. Theyre also accepted as a part of American society and participate in U.S. culture the same way their non-Hispanic friends do.Spanish is the first language at home, though they speak English with friends, at school and at work. Their digital world is mobile, social and frequently in English. On social networks, six out of every 10 communicate in that language.
