Influenser.com, the brain-child of Katherine Johnson-Gunn, an original founding partner of the successful Hispanicize Event, is a digital trade news hub and online community that will cover the Latinx influencer & marketing industries, highlight Hispanic founders, creators, and innovators, and celebrate people of color who embody the entrepreneurial spirit. The site not only empowers its readers, but also provides them with the tools they need to achieve their career goals and entrepreneurial dreams. Influenser’s audience encompasses all ages with an emphasis on the modern, career-driven Latinx millennial. The tone of the brand is fun and energetic, with a noticeable effort to make complicated industry topics, networking, and high-level executives, accessible to new generations. The brand’s name “INFLUENSER” defines what is at the very core of the brand: Being someone who is influential and of Latino descent. The word “Ser” in Spanish means, “To be”, and Johnson Gunn believes that as Latinos, “I am, you are and we are” influencers that have the power to influence business, politics, art, retail transactions, marketing trends, and ignite people to action. As Co-Founder and former Managing Director of Hispanicize Event, Johnson-Gunn has created experiential concepts for Fortune 500 brands looking to connect with U.S. Hispanics for over 10 years, and through that process has booked over hundreds of speakers, worked with A-list musical acts, and executive produced award shows and keynotes, while always championing up and coming artists, creators and entrepreneurs, some of which have gone on to become household names. “While I strongly believe in the importance of IRL (In Real Life) connections, I wanted to create a platform that would keep the conversation going year-round and capture some of the energy of a live event, digitally,” said Johnson Gunn. “Often we attend an event and feel inspired and motivated, but as time goes by, the empowerment and motivation fades and you find yourself feeling alone and without a community to back you. At Influenser, we aim to change that,” she stated. Influenser will accomplish its goals with the support of the Influenser newsletter, its news website, social media platforms, brand partnerships, intimate one-day events, and its official networking app set to launch in Spring 2020.
