El ex marketer de Capital One, Peter Horst, se unió al gigante de las golosinas
Capital One´s former marketer, Peter Horst, joined the confectionery giant as its new Chief Marketing Officer, to boost a cost reducing initiative. Horst is replacing Mike Wege, who was appointed Senior Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer. In that position, Wege will “continue to lead the company’s global organizational agility and growth initiative and other strategic projects for the company”, states Hershey’s statement. According to J.P. Bilbrey, chairman and CEO of Hershey Co., Horst is an experimented marketing leader, who has the skills and proven record to help the organization evolve, build their iconic brands and drive global growth for the company.Hershey is going through a critical moment, which requires global momentum, after struggling with difficulties in China, where the company had to lower its full-year net sales growth estimate. They also announced a cost-cutting initiative which is expected to yield between 65 and 75 million dollars, mainly in 2016, and cause the elimination of 300 jobs by the end of this year.In April, Hershey expanded its agency roster by adding New York’s Anomaly; Barkley, Kansas City; and Argonaut, from San Francisco. The current Arnold Worldwide and Havas Worldwide were retained.
