Henry Tajer, recently appointed Global Chief Operating Officer of IPG Mediabrands, announced internal movements to strengthen his team.”We have an ambitious plan to strengthen our business at a global scale and are going through a positive period of change”, stated Tajer. “Talent occupies a main role in my vision of IPG Mediabrands, which is why I feel very happy to be able to appoint the best people inside the company, as well as bring renown first level talent from the industry in general”.Jim Hytner, former CEO for Mediabrand´s region G14, will take on the role of global chief operating officer in September, settling in the London offices and reporting to Tajer. Hytner has been part of the group for more than five years in diverse roles throughout UM, Initiative and more recently, Mediabrands.On the other hand, Dervilla Kelly joins the Mediabrands team with the recently created role of Global Chief Client Officer. She will generate and offer her advice with the best account handling practices and processes at a global scale. She will report to Jim Hytner. Previously, she worked for Mindshare.Tajer also announced that Genevieve Loriant, current Head of PR and Communications for the G14 markets, has been promoted to the position of Global Chief Communications Officer and will be transferred from London to New York immediately.At the beginning of this month Danny Bass was designated CEO of IPG Mediabrands Australia, whereas Jeff Lupinacci returned to the company as Chief Financial Officer.
