Firefly Ad Next continues to grow operations and to venture the Cuban market. Founder and creative director, Hector Prado, talked to PRODU about the agencys plans in the island, which are based on mobile campaigns. “There are problems with the Internet and computers, but most people in Cuba have cell phones. We realized that right now the first channel is mobile, and its there where we are doing everything in order to advertise for brands from the US to Cuba, and inversely” Prado said. Among Firefly Ad Next clients is National Service Group (NSG), a company of housekeeping that serves all hotels of the US East coast, including Miami. “Were aiding them in their local campaign. In other words, were developing the first housekeeping school of international standards for international hotels. We are helping them develop their service in Cuba.” Prados expectations are to guide brands and clients to gain a captive market. “Because Cuba is not the market, the market are all the international tourists that visit Cuba looking for Cuban people service. We are aiming there.” He thinks that there is an international excursion of the Hispanic market to Cuba. “Clients want to go to Cuba. What they are seeing is the community of tourists they are going to take there, so they want to prepare the local people.”
