Tatia Torrey, nueva CCO de Havas Worlwide Chicago
With the promotion of Tatia Torrey as CCO of Havas Worldwide Chicago, half of the leadership team is now female. In the new position she will work across the main agency and other subsidiaries such as Havas helia, Havas Latino and Havas Impact. She will be responsible for the coordination of a team of 75 people and for focusing on existing clients such as Citi, AutoZone, Dish, R.J. Reynolds and Cracker Barrel.The executive arrived at Havas in May 2014 as General Director, after holding the position of VP and Managing Director at Wire Stone, for three years. There, she worked with clients such as: Motorola, Lowes, ConAgra and Carhartt.Paul Marobella, Havas Worldwide Chicago CEO, mentioned that although he is pleased with having three women in his leadership team of six people, this decision is strictly the result of her performance. “For us it’s who’s the right person for the job and hire that person”.Having women in the boardroom and in the executive committee has always been important to me as a leader”, explained Marobella. My personal philosophyand this might be a sweeping generalizationis that women generally have better intuition than men. And intuitive nature and instincts to me are a critical part of what it means to have emotional intelligence in the boardroom.Torrey stated that she has been very lucky throughout her career for having been evaluated for her performance without feeling discriminated for her gender.
