Con la compra de Sensus, la primera tira cómica en braille, se dona un par de lentes a un niño
The Mexican agency Havas Mg worked with Nacional Monte Piedad, to offer the community of blind people in their country, the first comic strip made in braille, titled Sensus. In Mexico, visual disability affects a great number of people and millions of children with sight problems quit school each year because they don’t have means to buy glasses. That is why they developed a comic strip that raises awareness about people with visual disability and is affordable for them. Sensus brings a story written in braille, another in images and words, and if the people who see learn braille, they can discover a third complementary story.Sensus was put up for sale in comic strip stores, bookstores and in an itinerant car that went around the country. For the sale of each comic strip, they bought a pair of glasses for one child. The first edition allowed the donation of 3,000 pairs of glasses. The initiative was acclaimed by the international press and will now compete in Cannes Lions 2015. The creatives responsible for the idea are: Ray López, creative leader; Jaime Canales, creative director and Sergio Galindo, art director.Did you like this piece?
