Guarna, film director of La Doble A, spoke with PRODU at the recent Cannes Lions Festival about the Argentine production companys newly established association with The Cortez Brothers, which will represent its roster of directors in the U.S. Hispanic market.I have high expectations. Ive always been passionate about the Hispanic market and Im very enthusiastic to be part of this great team. It brings a new excitement to my work and a determination to contribute my share of vision and creativity to its projects said Guarna. Yes, just Guarna, thats the name he goes by.Known for his dry wit and talent for directing actors, Guarna has amassed a spectacular reel of work for such clients as Coca-Cola, Corona, Peugeot, Pepsi, Renault, Unilever and Kraft. A graduate of the Buenos Aires Film University, he launched his professional career as an assistant director of feature films, moving on later to the ad industry where he worked with some of the best-known directors in South America. The things that interest me most are the story, directing actors, and basically creating content. Im pretty versatile when it comes to directing but Im very interested in content and making it believable. And the work of an actor is so important to me, its really what I like most he said. His work has been honored internationally at the San Sebastian Festival, London International Awards, FIAP, Ojo de Iberoamerica and more.
