MeriTerese Racanelli, M.S., joins Goya Foods, the biggest Hispanic food company in the United States, as nutritionist and food scientist to help expand the line of healthy products and the companys wellness campaign at a time of growing national awareness of the importance of a healthy diet. With her extensive knowledge from more than 15 years experience, MeriTerese will guide the Goya research and development team on the nutritional benefits of those particular ingredients, products and recipes associated with the different Hispanic origins of Goya customers.”MeriTerese’s experience will help us to develop new products and recipes that will provide excellent food options for our consumers to live a healthy lifestyle and will aid in the reduction of various health conditions that are on the rise among the Hispanic community including diabetes, obesity, high cholesterol and blood pressure” says Bob Unanue, president of Goya Foods.MeriTerese has a masters in Nutrition and Food Sciences from Montclair State University and studied pre-med/biology for her undergraduate degree.
