Google launches new domain for the Hispanic market

The giant of technology companies has launched a new internet domain for the Hispanic market. Called .soy, it hopes to replace the .com and become “the place of the network for Latinos.” According to Google, the domain .soy offers Hispanic consumers, brands and organizations, “a place to build, create and share culturally relevant web content.” The official launch was announced last Thursday. Companies and organizations such as the Hispanic Heritage Fund, the Institute of Her and the agency or LATISM Republic among others have already taken the domain..soy was created with the Latino audience in mind, and intends to build a website for small and medium-sized growth companies as well as individuals who want to share their interests. Jorge Plasencia, founder and CEO of advertising agency Republic said: “There is .com, .net, .org, and now we have a domain that represents us and celebrates our Hispanic community”.In turn, Plasencia said the initiative of Google talks about its commitment to the Hispanic market, an important and growing market with its own identity and character. “Both my partner Luis Casamayor and I were born in this country from Hispanic parents and we believe .soy reflects who we are: Americans who have that special dimension of our culture,” he said.Visit the page of {Google;http://www.iam.soy/} to have more details about this domain.
