Gabriel Torres, VP and regional general manager of the T-Mobile southeast sector, shared with PRODU the excellent results obtained by the brand after sponsoring Premio Lo Nuestro for the second straight year last Feb. 20 with Univision. “The response was extraordinary and, for us, sponsoring Premio Lo Nuestro is really important because it gets us close to the Latino public through relevant content, and from the cultural point of view it’s important to have that presence and be part of that dialogue” Torres said.As presenter of the Social Networks category at the gala, the mobile phone company took viewers behind the scenes to visit the T-Mobile Lounge together with Univision host Alejandra Espinoza.“This year we’re increasing our presence on social networks as part of our communication strategy, and besides having #mejorenfamilia, which we used during the event, we’re making a concerted effort to get extensively connected with different social networks” Torres said.T-Mobile made use of the Hispanic musical event to launch the Instagram page of T-Mobile Latino, and also a Vime site targeting Hispanics. “From a personal viewpoint I was also promoting my Twitter account (@Gabrieltorres1), to communicate directly and send relevant messages, not just of the company but for the Hispanic community as a direct spokesperson of the Latino market, and what better platform than Premios Lo Nuestro to launch it” the executive said.During the event, five Vime operating systems based on social networks were established, which obtained more than 17,000 engagements, while T-Mobile Latino was mentioned approximately once every 80 seconds during the broadcast of the event.
