Ford aporta ayuda para inundaciones en Texas
Ford Motor Company Fund is contributing US$100,000 to disaster relief efforts in Texas, following historic flooding in the wake of Hurricane Harvey. In addition, Ford Fund will match up to US$50,000 in employee and dealership contributions to the Red Cross, raising potential assistance from Ford to US$200,000. Ford employees and the Ford Fund have a long history of assisting people in need following natural disasters. Ford Fund will continue to work with community partners in the Houston area to determine how volunteering and other support can be provided in the days and weeks to come. The initial US$100,000 contribution will be divided among five of Ford Fund’s disaster relief partners – American Red Cross, Salvation Army, Catholic Charities USA, Team Rubicon, an organization based in Texas that uses the skills of veterans to assist with emergency response, and Toolbank, an organization that provides tools and equipment free of charge. As part of Ford Fund’s ongoing partnership, each of these organizations has received a Ford vehicle to advance their mission to aid people in need. Ford truck and several other vehicles are being deployed to Texas this week.
