Walking Tamales Fillo`s
You’ve already Heard about Walking Tacos, but what about Walking Tamales? The Latino-owned company FILLO’S gives a new twist to the classic LatAm street fare with the country’s first-ever vegetarian tamales-to-go. To celebrate the arrival of the new line of tamales designed to be enjoyed on the go, FILLO’S turned to Strava Art to create walking tours around various U.S cities in the form of its “walking tamale” mascot Andi. “The routes are meant to spark conversations and offer fresh ways to explore our cities and interact with our neighborhoods,” said Flavio Pina, head of Creative & Innovation at Loggia.“Walking Tamales is a radical invitation to enjoy tamales in whatever place and time. After collaborating with FILLO’S for several months in developing such an original product, we wanted to go even further than the usual product launch. Walking (Tamales) Tours is a series of self-guided hiking routes in the form of tamales, but more importantly, it’s a platform designed to encourage conversations and discover new ways to move around our cities,” Pina said. The first tour took place in Chicago, and was created in partnership with the Segundo Ruiz Belvis Cultural Center with acclaimed visual artist Josue Peliot, who designed a special mural for the tours called One at a Time, along with the poet and guide for local artistic tours, Luis Tubens. Soon to be announced are the dates for the second tour, this one in Miami.See the campaign here One can make a self-guided visit at any time with these two simple steps: 1. Download the GPX route on Strava or simply follow it on Google Maps.2. Reproduce the self-guide on Spotify.
