The Ibero-American Festival of Creativity (#FIAP2022) announced that for its 2022 edition, mounted in collaboration with Carnaval Art, it will award its prizes as NFTs (non-fungible tokens registered on a blockchain), thus becoming the first advertising festival on the planet to use that format. “The first advantage of an NFT is its credibility. The blockchain technology allows the complete origin of the winning entries and their creators to be known, reliably certifying their authorship and originality,” said FIAP CEO Daniel Marcet.In that way, every person who figures on the registration form of a winner, whether of a Grand Prix or of Gold, Silver or Bronze, will receive his or her own NFT, unique and non-transferable, and in addition will figure on the FIAP website and will receive important benefits starting with the creation of a community of winners.“This innovation will undoubtedly be adopted by other festivals and that’s a very good sign, above all because it signifies that FIAP continues to lead the way, always giving value added to its prizes while driving the communication industry forward,” Marcet said.
