Sergio Alcocer
Sergio Alcocer, Founder of Rest of the World, Sergio Alcocer, said the 2018 Ibero-American Advertising Festival (FIAP) offered a fresh, up-to-date view of the industry. “It’s amazing to see this year’s conferences. Martin Sorrell talked about the state of the industry’s market. Other excellent conferences included the one presented by MediaMonks and the talk by the City of Buenos Aires culture minister” he said. Regarding Rest of the World’s partnership with the FCB & FiRe alliance led by Rodrigo Figueroa Reyes, Alcocer said it aims to launch content to U.S. audiences making full use of his agency’s strategy and creativity experience. “I’m very interested in the simplicity of the model I want to employ at Rest of the World, which is a very specialized agency, devoted exclusively to strategy and creativity,” he said. “I do not pretend to offer full service. I am trying to consolidate a business model of doing projects that generate a positive social impact on minority groups in the U.S.” He confessed his love for U.S. minorities and for his agency, where he can develop work for those generally underprivileged groups in such areas as health and education, among others. “Our counterproposal is the deep knowledge of minorities that our agency can offer to FCB & FiRe.”
