Fernando Vallejo fue galardonado con el premio Glauber Rocha por su primer largometraje, Fragmentos de amor
Fragmentos de Amor, Fernando Vallejo´s debut film, was acknowledged in the Montreal Film Festival with the Glauber Rocha Award as Best Film From Latin America. Vallejo confessed to PRODU: “I love images, cinema and working with actors.” “It is a double satisfaction: to be in such a prestigious film festival and then the boost represented by the award for the Best Latin American film. Very satisfying” Vallejo told PRODU.The film, inspired in the book by Héctor Abad Faciolince, Colombia – Puerto Rico co-production by One Film Corporation and 64-A Films. Taking literature to film is a complex process, he says, it is necessary to interpret literature, and film is image. You have to know how to tell the story. “I wanted the spectator to cry, laugh, to feel aroused, in the sexual sense of the word.” Advertising and cinema are doomed to be lovers, he commented, linked by emotions. “I predict a golden age in advertising: the Bernbach, Ogilvy and Saatchi of this century are about to create a revolution.” “An iPhone or an Alexa, who cares: if you have something to tell, go and shoot it before someone else does it first” he says.
