In the fourth quarter of 2013, Facebooks total revenues amounted to $2.59 billion, a year-on-year increase of 63 percent. The income from advertising was $2.34 billion, a hike of 76 percent over the same quarter of 2012.Approximately 53 percent of revenues from advertising comes from ad spend on mobile devices. This is not the first time that Facebook has crossed the threshold of 50 percent of its advertising revenues coming from mobiles. And this growth shows no signs of letting up.Active daily users of Facebook in December 2013 numbered some 757 million on average, a jump of 22 percent over previous years. Black Friday was the day when Facebook had its highest income from mobile advertising in the quarter.A recent study by Millward Brown Digital showed that people who use Facebook while shopping make their purchases four times faster than they would using any other application.
