Facebook continues improving advertisers’ purchase experience by making the launching of Canvas official, a new full-screen ad platform for mobile on the social network. The new format was designed with support from a creative community whose mission is to help businesses build multi-media stories and show their products on mobile devices in a more attractive way.”The creative community was a priority when we designed and built Canvas. It is a product that represents our commitment with creative work and with offering the best mobile experience for businesses and people” assured Chris Jones, Chief of Technological Creativity at Facebook’s Creative Shop.Canvas ads are displayed in the new feed where brands can use videos, images, text and action buttons. It also allows a carrousel of images, slant the mobile to have a panoramic image and zoom in for details. It uses the same Facebook technology to speed the upload of pictures and videos, and is ten times faster than a mobile internet page.Recently, Coca-Cola created a Canvas to accompany the recent launch of a series of aluminum bootles. They reached 16 million people and had an average view of 18 seconds.
