DishLatino launched a digital campaign last week that debuted as a viral video. The piece obtained more than two million views in less than 36 hours and consists of the appearance of the popular Mexican actor Eugenio Derbez running naked across a soccer field. It is an interactive experience since users may choose from three different endings for Derbez after he makes the goal.The campaign started with a video filmed with a phone, in which we see a naked man running across a soccer field and making a goal. On April Fool’s Day, DishLatino revealed that the man was Eugenio Derbez. The digital action was accompanied by a picture of Derbez being followed by the police on the field, which was covered by most of the main Hispanic newspapers in the US that same day.”This is the first time DishLatino creates content without branding and lets fans decide where it is going and if it will be launched or not”, said Alfredo Rodríguez, DishLatino VP. “We thought that it was going to be popular, but we were amazed by the immediate acceptance it obtained”.”The announcement plays with one of the most scandalous shows in soccer, but the campaign is designed to connect all those who can’t live without soccer”, added Rodríguez. “Many fans don’t have access to their favorite teams, that is why DishLatino brings the best games to an affordable price, in addition to the best programming in Spanish and in English.”
